About
This blog, like its author, is devoted to things that are interesting. A primary focus will be religion, it being the largest and richest field of thought on Earth, but you can also expect considerations of things like history, literature, art, music, philosophy and comic books. Also science fiction. Also higher education and the academy. Maybe some creative work as well, when the fancy strikes.
Though I am yet a young man I am old at heart, and my interests and positions on certain subjects will tend, I regret, to reflect this. This necessarily runs contrary to my interests as a geek, and my interest, as a geek, in seeing things that are important to my race being given the mainstream appreciation they sometimes deserve. If this means you’ll get a post concerning an obscure 1842 poem by the equally obscure John Sterling right on the heels of a meditation on why Battlestar Galactica is awesome, so be it.
I’ll update this space in the fullness of time with a sort of political manifesto and appropriate disclaimers about Catholic orthodoxy (I strive for it) and literary theory (I distrust it). For the time being, just base your impressions on what I’m writing.
You can see my lamer, older blog, A Gentle Fuss, here.

How are you?
I’ll trust you are busy and prospering. We, collectively, must have it no other way.
However, your silence, in terms of this Blog, raises questions, possibly concerns. And, I for one am hoping for the best.
