As of noon today, I am no longer required to take any classes ever again ever at all. It’s done! I just have to finish my paper (the influence of William Law’s 1728 classic Serious Call to a Devout and Holy Life upon the sermon style of Samuel Johnson) and then the rest of the summer is mine to do with as I please.
And I will do with it. Oh yes I will.
I had hoped that this intensive six-week course would see me posting little snippets of Johnsoniana with some regularity here, but in fact I just wound up tired and didn’t want to do extra things. Sorry about that.
