From Grace Park (Battlestar Galactica’s Athena/Boomer/No. 8):

“I just heard about the first Battlestar movie being greenlit… A TV movie, but still! But this — it’s like, yeah, it’s over but we’re ready to move on but nobody’s manager or agent has been called. It’s supposed to start in August.”

Good news indeed. The last anyone had heard was that casting and production continued on Caprica, the two-hour Battlestar prequel movie, but that the three other potential TV movies that might begin being shot this summer were still only an idea. Speaking as someone who neither wants to wait until 2009 for new episodes nor wants the show to end entirely a few short months later, this announcement is most welcome.

The Iron Giant (1999)

No longer the ne plus ultra of robot films (see Wall-E), but still damn fine work. An otherwise great film building to a climax that is not to be missed. 9/10
